Biocide BIO-08 itself as an oxidizing agent serves as a antibacterial action on RO membrane which is able to sterilize bio-fouling, thereby preventing the precipitation the membrane surface. Its dual action helps to kill all sizes and life stages of organisms, especially microorganisms, and the effectiveness of biocides varies with the concentration of a biocide and duration of the exposure.

 

Compatibility: Bio-08 is used for drinking water treatment plant, waste water treatment plant, ship ballast water treatment plant, disinfectants and as antifouling agents that prevent mollusks from accumulating in industrial pipes.

Product Description:

In laboratory tests a maximum tolerable microbial population limit in systems is determined. When these data are known in many cases the number of bacteria and other microorganisms needs serious reduction. This can be accomplished by addition of biocides; chemical compounds that are toxic to the present microorganisms. Biocides are usually slug fed to a system to bring about rapid effective population reductions from which the microorganisms cannot easily recover. There are various different biocides, some of which have a wide range of effect on many different kinds of bacteria. They can be divided up into oxidizing agents and non-oxidizing agents.
